Check out what many in the industry are saying about how Remote IT services can help your small business leverage your costs enabling you to focus on building your business in other avenues where it counts most. Whether it’s improving service for employees, or giving customers access to 24/7 service, outsourcing IT allows businesses to do both and reduce costs.

By now, every business is aware of outsourcing and what it entails. For many, it’s the ideal way to reduce day to day operating expenses while improving service. For most, it means not having to have a full time department with the overhead that comes with it and while many companies are familiar with outsourced marketing, manufacturing and payroll, few take the time to review the benefits of outsourced IT.

Information Technology Outsourcing Reduces Operating Expenses

For businesses that need to reduce their cost structure, outsourcing IT allows businesses to reduce a significant cost portion of their overhead. Like many outsourcing options, companies immediately benefit from being able to turn their fixed costs of labor into a variable and floating cost as the company only pays for the service it receives from the outsourcing firm.

Improves 24/7 Support

Using outside help to manage a company’s information technology requirements allows businesses to increase their information transfer between employees and departments. For businesses with international employees, who may be stationed in different time zones and countries, this is a tremendous benefit as most firms provide 24 hour support 7 days a week.

Remote Desktop Management

This 24/7 service option is not only impressive for internal resources, but also for the company’s customers, who will come to see the company as much bigger than it may be actually be. Along with this full time support, comes the benefit of remote desktop management where technicians can access employee terminals and work through problems together, on one screen making it an idea interface to not only correct the problem, but show the user tips on avoiding similar situations.

Operation Cost Reductions: Using outside firms reduces the overhead for businesses as the company only pays for usage and doesn’t need to employ full time departments.

24 Hour 7 Day Support: The ability to offer customers and employees the benefit of 24 hour support is an extremely important benefit of outsourced IT. In what would otherwise cost the company a fortune, this 24/7 support improves service capabilities without the added cost.

Remote Desktop Problem Resolution: For businesses, time is money, and time wasted trying to figure out software glitches is simply lost revenue. The ability to effect timely changes and problem resolution allows companies to increase their productivity and efficiency.

Outsourcing Improves Competition: Companies that outsource, often find the competition for their business is quite high. This guarantees the company always gets the lowest possible cost structure. The customer is the deciding factor and if the outsourced firm is not meeting expectations, then a change is relatively easy.

Eliminates Cost of Lost Employees: Companies hate to lose employees, especially those that have special knowledge and abilities that are essential to the day to day operations of the firm. However, this is not a concern with outsourcing IT.

When small businesses compare the benefits of outsourced IT, versus the cost of having a full time department, the savings and improve service always win out. Whether trying to improve service for internal departments, or giving customers the benefit of 24/7 service, outsourcing IT allows companies to accomplish both.

Just before starting a discussion on the benefits of SEO, I would like to show you some stats & facts: 85% of Internet users find websites through search engines. 90% of Internet users usually do not go past the top 30 search results.

Today with the advent of technology, the Internet has become the biggest marketplace of the entire world. Some of the important benefits that effective SEO tools can deliver for your business are; increased targeted traffic, improved visibility, high return on your investment, and better sales ratios.

SEO is the process of figuring out “key words”, potential customers might use to find what the website is offering. The biggest benefit of SEO is that it helps you to gain an online presence for your business. One of the major benefits of SEO is that certainly you do not pay for every click, unlike PPC advertising where your online presence disappears the moment you stop paying for the ads. Other benefits of SEO include increasing your business benefits, sales and investment returns.

1.Dominate your competition. The higher up your web site appears in the search engine ranking position (SERP), the greater visibility it has and the more visitors you will receive.

2.More targeted prospects to your web site = more profits for you

3. Cost-effective and long-term ROI. Once your website is well ranked in the search engines, you receive visitors to your website for free without having to set aside a daily budget for costly pay-per-click advertising, traditional radio, tv or print advertising.

4. More creditable. Studies have shown that people are 3x more likely to click on a website link in the organic search results as they are deemed to be more creditable as compared to paid listings – which are considered paid advertisements.

5. Global exposure for your website, 24 hours/day for every day of the year. That means your website can reach people in areas that traditional marketing cannot.

6.Measurable ROI in accordance with analytical and statistical data from the search engines. Know the amount of visitors to your webpage, what keywords consumers are using to find your website, which pages on your webpage they are visiting plus much more.

7.Save time. An excellent SEO strategy helps position your business or service online. Most companies waste time online and offline because they neglect to choose the right market. With the correct keyword strategy and research, you reach your target market immediately.

An often over-looked benefit of the SEO service is that it helps to make your websites favourable to both site visitors (increased usability), and the search engines. A good SEO service provider offers a client-focused and cost-effective search engine optimization service together with a number of Internet marketing solutions including viral marketing, blog marketing, web development and many more. Other factors include cross-browser compatibility, enhanced usability and better accessibility. A good SEO agency understands that despite there being thousands of websites on the internet, each one is personal and unique

2011. This is the year that will shape the future of our lives online.

After all, 2010 was the year we woke up and started asking the tough questions about our always-on, connected lifestyle. Questions like “What kind of brain is the Web giving us?” And does “juggling e-mail, phone calls and other incoming information..change how people think and behave”?

In the big picture, this was a reasonably quick wake-up call; we’re already examining the social web’s effect on us and most of us have only been on Facebook for 3-4 years, have carried an iPhone for 2-3 years (and a Droid for less), and have been on our BlackBerries for, at most, 8 years. We’re still in the early days of creating a new society in which our lives are lived online as much as face-to-face. This is the year for us to start making choices about what we want that society to look like.

Here are the 6 most important choices for you to make this year — the choices that will determine both the quality of your life online and of your relationships offline:

What am I choosing to do on the Web? Imagine turning your computer off every time you turn away from it, and then using the next boot-up cycle to think about what you want to accomplish when you get back online. I’m not advocating that kind of wear and tear on your on/off switch, but I know that our lives online would be infinitely more satisfying if we each took 30 seconds to stop and think about what we want to experience or achieve each time we go back to the Internet.

The pace of our online lives intensifies the need for absolutely clarity about our personal and professional goals: the Internet hurls so many tasks, distractions and genuine opportunities our way that it’s easy to get blown off course. But if you’re clear about what you want the web to do for you — the kinds of relationships you want to build, the conversations you want to have, the ideas you want to express — your time online can actually support and sharpen your vision for a fulfilling life. Make 2011 the year in which the web becomes a means of pursuing your personal and professional priorities, rather than an end in itself.

Who am I choosing to be online? Anyone who has played a video game or hung out in Second Life has encountered the temptation to reinvent oneself as a seven-foot tall werewolf or a voluptuous cheerleader. But you don’t need a salacious fantasy to craft an online persona that is subtly or even dramatically different from your offline self. Your offline self is lumbered with a job, a set of expectations from friends, family and colleagues, and maybe some body image neuroses. Your online self can be anyone you’ve dreamed of being, or someone you already secretly are. And since the persona you create for yourself online inevitably bleeds over to your life offline, creating the best version of yourself online will invariably help you become the person you want to be, online and off. Start bringing that online person to life now.

What problems am I choosing to fix with the help of the Internet? The village that needs a new water pump. The prospect of climate change. The aunt who needs a new beau. The creative vacuum left by the implosion of your garage band. Whether it’s a problem for you, your community or the world, the Internet can help you fix it. Tithing 10% of your time online — from micro-volunteering to online activism to writing a heartfelt note to a lonely friend — is a structured way to ensure that the Internet becomes part of the solution instead of part of the problem. This can be the year in which you get serious about the Internet as the single most promising problem-solver in a world that faces many fast-growing problems.

Am I choosing to be a brand or a person online? Much attention has been paid to “personal brand management” or “reputation management” online. You can choose to live your online life as a brand, and commit yourself to a strategic online presence that is based on maximizing the ROI of your every online utterance. Or you can choose to be a person, committed to online authenticity not because it’s a best practice for social media marketing, but because it’s an extension of your offline integrity. You get to choose whether you live in an online world that’s made up of the interaction among brands or one that’s made up of interaction among people. The way you (and the rest of us) engage online in 2011 will set the pattern for our future.

How am I choosing to use boredom? Recent research reveals that our brains need a certain amount of downtime, that is, boredom, in order to be productive. Those moments when our minds wander are the moments that give us breakthrough thinking, insight and innovation. Reaching for the Blackberry when you’re stuck in a line-up, or processing e-mail during tedious meetings: these activities displace the former vacancies from which aha! moments once emerged. This is the year to commit to a minimum RDA of boredom, to foster habits that keep you from filling every moment with productive or engaging activity.

How am I choosing to live online? Your time online is full of frustrations, from web sites that crash to people who write flames instead of comments. You can let these frustrations turn you off of social media. But remember that in 2011, as in every previous year, the amount of time you spend online will increase. The Internet is woven into the fabric of your daily life. In a very real way, you live there. It’s up to you, to each of us, to make the choices that will make it a good place to live.

Where are you going to ask for help online? We’re all struggling with the choices that the web now asks us to make on a daily basis: choices that were unimaginable even a decade ago. Identifying the challenges where you need some support, and the specific networks or communities where you are going to look for it, is crucial to moving forward in your life online.

What are the online challenges you’re facing? Leave a comment so that we can start tackling them right here.

With the millions of websites that are popping-up every single day, the web surfers are spoiled for content and could easily find the information that they are looking for from multiple source. In order to entice them to come to your own website and keep them coming back for more day after day, you need to create content that is well worth reading and sharing.

Even though you could promote your blog or site in hundreds of different ways, word-of-mouth is far more powerful than most webmasters realize – in order for people to trust you, listen to you, and enjoy reading your blog posts or articles, you need to be an expert in your field, write exceptionally well, and research your topics thoroughly. You also need to write content that people are interested in – discussing the latest news, developments, products, gadgets, shows, or events are likely to gain large audience and help you grow your site faster. Here are some true and tested tips that will help you create interesting and engaging content:

Use Compelling Headlines

Put yourself in the shoes of the average Web surfer and you will quickly understand that he or she is far more likely to click on a link with interesting headline rather than on a title that is similar to hundreds of other titles. The headline is what the users are likely to see first when running searches on Google, Bing, or any of the other large search engines and using superlatives and numbers, or asking a question is an excellent way to grab their attention.

Optimize the content for the web

Writing for the web is no different from writing for the printed media when it comes to style and quality, but presentation most certainly is. Even though the opinions on “how long is too long” vary, keeping your content between 300 and 1000 words per page comes highly recommended. A single–page article is also what most readers love and less than 50% typically bother to proceed to page two of any article, no matter how well written.

Solve a common problem

Today, millions of people are using the Internet to find information on just about any topic, and great percentage of these searches are looking for an answer to a widespread issue. If you have identified a common problem in the niche that you are an expert in, then take the time to write a solid tutorial, which solves it. Include a few images or videos if possible and you are likely or receive great number of natural backlinks from people sharing your content on message boards, blogs, and their own websites.

Involve your readers

Whether you have decided to blog on an interesting topic or post your opinion on a controversial issue, if you encourage your readers to participate in the discussion, you will gain a loyal audience. Do not be discouraged or frightened by negative comments or opinions that greatly differ from your own – the saying “there is no such thing as bad publicity” still applies today.

Make your content easy to read

Use lists, bullets, smaller paragraphs, headings and subheadings, and avoid colorful and busy backgrounds. In fact, use black text on white background whenever possible and you will make it far easier for your readers.

Link to other websites and blogs

Find other websites and blog that have similiar content and link to them. Even though sending your visitors away from your website might sound illogical at first, when done right, it is actually beneficial. Linking to relevant sites could encourage other webmasters to link back and would make your own site more valuable to your readers.

Try to be unique

No matter what you are blogging or writing about, the chances are that there are at least a few thousand other people, who have written, are writing, or will write on the same topic. Some of them might have far better writing skills that you or have websites that are well-known and with better search engine positions than yours – instead of trying to compete with them head-on, approach the topic from an unusual angle, try to come up with a unique perspective, and you will see your visitors coming back for more!

Add social sharing buttons

Even though this is not a part of the content creation per se, it is a way to encourage your readers to share your post or articles with their friends on the various Web 2.0 sites. Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Digg, Delicious, LinkedIn, and AddThis are just a few of the popular social bookmarking sites that you could utilize to make your content available to a wider audience.

These are a few of the main things I think about when I go to create web content. Once you have a plan in place and make a habit of following it you will come up with great web content every time. What are some of your favorite techniques to make your web content unique and unforgettable?

We are pleased to present some tips for moving up in the local business listings. Sometimes, it is the little things that truly make a difference in your overall strategy.

Building a SEO strategy can be very complex and time consuming. The Damonaz Team is committed in being your partner in building that strategy. We always encourage those who want to continue developing their SEO strategy on their own and as a result will always provide any Tips we use and encounter. We are pleased to present some tips for moving up in the local business listings.

Offsite Local Business Optimization

Get free listings in as many local directory websites as possible. I seldom recommend reciprocating or paying for links in directories. However, if they offer a free, nonreciprocal option you should definitely take advantage.

Include your phone number whenever you write a description of your company on a third party website. My research suggests that Google uses your phone number to improve your local business listing rankings, similar to the way they use links for improving your traditional organic search engine rankings.

Make sure your local business listing is complete. For instance, include pictures, coupons, a full description, pick your categories, etc.

Work keywords into your local business listing description and make it as long as Google allows.

Look at your competitors’ local business listings. If the number next to the link titled, “Web Pages,” is greater than one, click on the link and try obtaining listings from the same websites as your competitors.

Onsite Local Business Optimization

Include your business name in your title tags, description and throughout your website.

Include your address and phone number at the bottom of every page.

Include the name of your city and state in your website’s content, titles, descriptions and page headers.

See which phrases the local business listings pop up for, and optimize your site for those phrases.

As mentioned above, there is a high level of mystery behind local business search engine optimization. When mastered, it has the potential to be very lucrative, generating large amounts of targeted traffic, within a short amount of time. Please feel free to comment with more tips and resources.

When it comes time to bring your offline business online, you will need to have a website developed for your business. Whether you are choosing to design and implement the website yourself or have a professional do the work, WordPress is the best platform to choose. WordPress is no longer just for blogs, it has evolved into a complete CMS (content management system) that can handle your entire website needs.

Here are just a few of the advantages of using WordPress:

Search engines love this software. On average, sites using this CMS will be indexed in the search engines much faster than traditional static websites. That means you have traffic coming to your site sooner rather than later.

There are an almost unlimited number of plug-ins or add-ons that have been developed to perform everything from shopping carts to contact forms. These are updated and upgraded constantly so you always have the latest technology and innovations at your fingertips.

It is much less expensive to have a site developed with WordPress than to have any other CMS installed and customised or to have a static website developed.

This platform has a great deal of SEO built right in. This means it will be very easy to include all of the page elements necessary to rank well in the search engines. A web designer does not generally do SEO very well or they do not do it at all.

The system is easy enough for anyone without coding skills to maintain on their own after the developer has coded and implemented the majority of the website. This means you can add new content whenever you want without having to pay a web designer to do it for you.

Since all business websites today need a business blog, you have it already there built right in. You can now interact with your visitors.

There are many, many more places to promote a WordPress website for free than a traditional website. You not only can market it to all of the places you could any other website, you can also send it to all of the blog directories. This means you have the potential of reaching many more visitors than a standard HTML website.

WordPress has a built in RSS feed. This means you have the ability to syndicate your content. This is a very powerful traffic grabbing tool. To add RSS to a traditional website, you would have to pay your web designer to create the feed for you for additional fees.

These are just a few benefits using WordPress for your website that I could think of off the top of my head. I am sure I could come up with many more if I really put my mind to it. I can’t imagine any logical reason for using anything else.

Success in attracting and retaining readers is often influenced by a blog’s level of interactivity. Many readers are more active than passive and want to feel like they have a role in affecting a blog’s content, design, structure, and overall ongoing conversation. Posts shouldn’t be thought of as soliloquies, but as the beginnings of highly interactive discourses. For effective ways to keep your blog interactive and encourage your readers to come back for more, try reading and adapting these ten tips to fit your blog’s needs.

1. Encourage Guest Posts

If you want an easy way to get more players involved in your conversation, encourage guest posts. Even though your readers are probably used to your style and enjoy reading your posts, interactivity can be improved by giving visitors the opportunity to read something different every once in a while. This also enables you to participate in conversations by posting comments on someone else’s content. To promote guest posts, include a separate tab for submissions or mention it on your contact page.

2. Write Guest Posts for Other Blogs

To get more activity on your blog, offer to write guest posts for others. Your byline on someone else’s blog may lead new visitors to your page, so take advantage of this opportunity. You might even arrange a guest posting trade-off with another blogger, writing for each other once a month to help generate more traffic for both of you.

3. Take On a Friendly Role

People love talking to their friends. If you want to encourage your readers to respond to content, you might consider being friendlier with your tone and adopting a more casual style. By “selling” less and being more approachable, you could increase feedback and readership.

4. Allow Guests to Express Themselves

Enabling comments on your blog lets readers know that you welcome their feedback. Even if you have a lot of RSS readers who don’t visit your page, it’s important to leave the lines of communication as open as possible. As with guest posting, commenting on other blog posts can result in reciprocal favors for your own blog, so don’t hesitate to let others know what you think. Depending on your relationship with the blogger, you might even mention a popular post from your blog somewhere in your comment.

5. Request Feedback

Ask readers to respond to your content. You can do this by asking visitors to submit article topics they would like to see on your blog, posting articles with interactive questions, or starting a weekly (or monthly) poll post. Once you’ve established a recurring poll day, readers will know when to stop by and respond so they can be included in your results and discussion.

6. Demonstrate Good Intentions

Let visitors see that you’re motivated to please them rather than use them. You can do this by offering free tips and advice, minimizing obvious commercial ventures on your blog, and responding when you do receive feedback. When your readers know that you’re invested in helping them with your blog, they’ll be more likely to participate when you include interactive opportunities.

7. Reward Your Readers

For RSS feed subscribers or those who subscribe to your full content (if you offer different versions), consider offering an annual or biannual gift. You could give subscription discounts, free access to one of your eBooks, a small gift of merchandise if you run a commercial blog, gift certificates, coupons, access to special content, or anything else to let them know that you appreciate their loyalty. By doing this, you can both secure long-term readership and encourage increased interactivity.

8. Hold Contests

Contests can be for best guest post, most interesting article topic submission, cutest pet photo, or any variety of other premises. Offer a modest prize and watch contest submissions stack up, increasing your blog’s interactivity by leaps and bounds.

9. Write at Least One Article Series

Writing a series can attract short-term readership from those who read one post and return for the next installment. If you can sink the hook this way, you might receive interesting feedback from new visitors and get some long-term readers who want to see more of the same.

10. Understand Readers’ Interactive Tendencies

Don’t be offended or discouraged if you don’t notice drastically increased comment numbers on your blog. With RSS feeds, Twitter, and re-posting popularity, it’s more likely that your interactivity will increase in places you can’t monitor as easily as your blog. You can either hire a social media service to track threads related to your blog or simply trust that your efforts are increasing your blog’s interactivity and readership

Despite the tendency of many social media visitors to quickly exit your site and move on to the next one, there are still some very convincing reasons why you should care about social media and why it is worth your time.

When comparing social media traffic to other forms of traffic, such as search engine, the numbers typically are going to look rather bleak. While you’ll hopefully see a spike in number of visitors and pageviews, that will often be accompanied by higher bounce rates, lower pageviews per visitor, and a lower average time on the site. With stats like this many bloggers wonder if social media traffic is even worth the time and effort.

Despite the tendency of many social media visitors to quickly exit your site and move on to the next one, there are still some very convincing reasons why you should care about social media and why it is worth your time.

1. It’s Free

Unless you’re paying for a consultant or a link bait specialist (both can be good options), marketing your website with social media is free. It will cost you some time, but that pales in comparison to the value of the traffic that you can get in return. There are countless ways to market a website or blog. Just about all of them involve spending money (which isn’t a bad thing), and of the ones that don’t involve money, the vast majority of them are a complete waste of time. I’ve never tried any other type of free marketing that brought even 1% of the results I’ve gotten with social media at my primary blog. Most bloggers are on a tight, or non-existent, budget when it comes to marketing. If this is the case, social media is for you.

2. Quick Results

Building a successful website takes a considerable amount of time and effort. Search engine rankings, for instance, can take years to build in a competitive niche. On the other hand, with social media you can develop content and be seen by thousands of visitors within the same day. For this reason, social media is a great option for getting a new website or blog noticed right away .

3. It’s Flexible

There are so many different social media websites that just about every imaginable niche is covered in one way or another. There are social news sites, bookmarking sites, and general networking sites. Whatever your needs and your audience, there should be an option to use social media for your benefit.

Also, you’re not stuck to using the same social media sites over and over. If you’re not getting results in one place there’s usually other options that you can try out.

4. It Gets Easier with Time

If you’re new to blogging and social media and you feel like everyone else is getting traffic but you, understand that it takes some time and effort, but it will get easier. Once you have established a bit of a reader base and you’ve hopefully attracted some social media users to your blog, it will be much easier for you to get votes and ultimately get more exposure. The more you use social media the more you will understand about how it works and how users will respond.

5. It Will Lead to Other Valuable Sources of Traffic

Although visitors from social media sites may be less responsive than other types of visitors, success with social media will likely increase the number of inbound links you receive. Links will boost your search engine rankings and they’ll also drive click-through traffic your way. Both are generally high quality traffic sources.

6. Building Links with Social Media is Safer than Buying Links

If you plan to cut out the need for social media by purchasing links from other sites, you’re running the risk of being penalized or banned by Google. For some, this is a risk worth taking, but in most cases I would strongly discourage taking this chance. Personally, I focus on building links for my primary blog through the combination of content and social media.

7. Social Media Users are Predictable

The whole concept or link bait or Digg bait wouldn’t even be possible if social media users were unpredictable. But the truth is you can usually have a good idea of what is likely to draw a response and what is not. This will come with time, and of course there is no 100% guarantee. However, once you know a social media audience pretty well, you can cater content to their preferences with a pretty high success rate. What you learn about social media can easily be duplicated to your other blogs or to serving clients.

8. It Doesn’t Require as Much Time as You Might Think

Personally, I use social media every day, but on a very limited basis. If you think that you have to spend all day on Digg or Stumbling pages to get some results of your own, you may be surprised. With the right approach you can get fantastic results with just a few hours per week on social media sites. To be a top Digg user you’ll need more time than that, but being a top Digg user isn’t necessary to draw social media traffic.

9. Branding Through Social Media is Possible

One of the great benefits to the exposure that you can get through social media is the result it has on the branding of your blog. Branding is key to building a success blog in the long-term, and social media is an excellent, free option for helping visitors to see your blog in a particular light. (For more, see my post at ProBlogger A Blogger’s Guide to Branding with Social Media.)

10. Links Can Help Your Search Engine Rankings Rise Quickly

Earlier I mentioned to social media can provide instant results. Well, in addition to sending loads of traffic directly, the links that result from social media success can get your new posts ranking very well with search engines almost immediately. It’s not uncommon for me to see a very respectable number of visitors from Google searches to a brand new post that just drew a lot of links through social media. While it will take a while to build search engine rankings as a whole, it is possible to create specific posts to rank well right away.

11. It Allows You to Leverage Your Existing Traffic

Do you already have a solid blog with a steady flow of traffic? If so, chances are you could leverage that traffic to draw even more visitors with social media. You may want to use voting buttons on your posts or ask some of your readers and friends to give you a vote occasionally.

12. Some Visitors Will Be Targeted

The biggest knock on social media traffic is that it’s not targeted, and that is typically true. However, visitors from niche social media sites can be very highly targeted, and on top of that, a portion of visitors from general news sites will be targeted as well. For example, if you get 25,000 visitors from a post on the Digg front page, maybe only 5,000 of them will have much of an interest in your site. Still, that’s a quick 5,000 visitors that you wouldn’t have had without social media. Just because a smaller percentage of the visitors will stick doesn’t mean that they are irrelevant.

13. The Future of the Internet is Social

Social media and social networking aren’t going away any time soon. The major players and the types of social sites may change of the course of time, but this is a trend that online marketers need to adjust to. Without finding ways to build a website or blog through social media you could be left behind by your competitors.
